Basketball Game Preview: Osawatomie Trojans vs. West Franklin Falcons

The Osawatomie Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the West Franklin Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Osawatomie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Osawatomie is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Central Heights: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Osawatomie blew Central Heights out of the water with a 69-39 final score. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Vikings are ranked 341st), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Franklin came up short against Chase County on Saturday and fell 58-51.

Osawatomie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for West Franklin, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Osawatomie skirted past West Franklin 41-39 in their previous meeting back in December of 2015. Will Osawatomie repeat their success, or does West Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
