Uintah and Mountain View are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Utes will head out on the road to face off against the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Uintah is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Uintah beat Payson 7-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Provo 5-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since May 3, 2024.

Mountain View got a great performance from Johnny Perkins as he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Perkins has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kiesel Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Uintah pushed their record up to 8-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Uintah couldn't quite get it done against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Utes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
