Football Recap: Hialeah Gardens' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Hialeah Gardens extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Isabelle Castrillo. The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators strolled past the Braddock Bulldogs with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 20-6 for which the team can thank Castrillo, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in passing yards.

Hialeah Gardens didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Carolyn Lebroc. Lebroc is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: she's made at least five every time she's taken the field this season.

Hialeah Gardens' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Braddock, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hialeah Gardens will challenge Hialeah at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hialeah Gardens is facing Hialeah at the right time seeing as Hialeah is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Braddock, they will take on Ferguson at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferguson's defense has only allowed 5.4 points per game this season, so Braddock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
