Volleyball Recap: Yelm Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Kitsap, Yelm was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bethel Bison, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tornados have posted since October 9, 2024.

Yelm took Bethel into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Lilly Grant paced Yelm's offense, picking up 27 kills. Grant got some help from Adrianna Lee and her 21 assists. Alondra Cintron-Roche controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Despite the defeat, Bethel had strong showings from Kailub Munoz, who had 16 digs, and Sonoma Straits, who had 22 assists and six digs. Munoz has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Yelm's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11-1. As for Bethel, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Yelm wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bonney Lake on the 22nd. As for Bethel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Puyallup on the 22nd.
