Basketball Recap: Andrews Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Benton HomeSchool, Andrews Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars, sneaking past 52-49. That's more bragging rights for Andrews Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Talon Robinson, who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points. Robinson's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Carter, who posted 15 points.

Andrews Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Georgia-Cumberland Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.

Andrews Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mishawaka HomeSchool W at 7:45 p.m. Georgia-Cumberland Academy has already played their next game, a 76-74 win against Shenandoah Valley Academy on the 31st.
