Softball Game Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Graceville Tigers

Chipley is 2-8 against Graceville since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Chipley took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Walton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Chipley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over Walton on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 5, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Olivia Brown, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Angelica McIntyre also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Graceville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Malone with a sharp 35-25 victory.

Chipley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Graceville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Chipley skirted past Graceville 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will Chipley repeat their success, or does Graceville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
