Soccer Recap: Baker Gets the Win

Baker's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Briarwood Christian Lions onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.

Baker's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Briarwood Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Faith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Baker's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Briarwood Christian, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Westminster School at Oak Mountain at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
