Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Panthers vs. West Fork Gators

The Liberty Panthers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the West Fork Gators at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. West Fork took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Liberty, who comes in off a win.

Liberty saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Springtown by a score of 50-39.

Meanwhile, West Fork came up short against Orangefield on Friday and fell 73-64. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Bobcats are ranked 317th).

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for West Fork, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Liberty didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against West Fork in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Fork turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
