Baseball Recap: Medina Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Medina Valley played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against the Laredo LBJ Wolves by a score of 11-8. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Easton Lange made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reese Hatcher, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Logen Pargas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Medina Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laredo LBJ only posted a batting average of .250.

The victory snapped Medina Valley's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-5 record. As for Laredo LBJ, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-7.

Medina Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Laredo LBJ: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
