Fayette Academy was led to victory by Zane Pike and Landon Abernathy. Pike scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Abernathy scored 14 points. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kahne Dozier, who scored five points along with three steals.
Natchez Trace Youth Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
