Football Preview: Pacific Grove Breakers vs. Everett Alvarez Eagles
The Pacific Grove Breakers will square off against the Everett Alvarez Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pacific Grove will be strutting in after a win while Everett Alvarez will be coming in after a loss.
While Breakers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Marina 38-6 on the road.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They and North Monterey County were almost perfectly matched up, but Everett Alvarez suffered a 20-19 loss.
Despite the defeat, Everett Alvarez got top-tier performance from Roman Garcia, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry.
