Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pleasant Valley on Monday, Bethlehem Catholic came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the Liberty Hurricanes on Wednesday, falling 15-5. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

Bethlehem Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Petros Tsihlis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Emery Oberholzer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bethlehem Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Liberty, their record is now 12-3.

Looking ahead, Bethlehem Catholic is taking a road trip to square off against Nazareth Area at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Liberty, they will welcome Northampton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
