Volleyball Recap: Corning Takes a Loss

Corning lost against Willows on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Honkers.

Corning's offense was headlined by Natalia Madrigal and Brystal McClelland, who picked up three kills apiece. McClelland really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Anika Escobar Van Why controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Corning's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Willows, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Corning has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Colusa on the 26th. As for Willows, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against University Prep on the 23rd.
