Baseball Recap: Ridge View Takes a Loss

Ridge View easily dispatched Wilson on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Blazers fell just short of the Haverling Rams by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday.

Cayden Lindsey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Ridge View is 2-1 when Lindsey allows two or fewer earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ridge View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arist Nosker, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another was Cedric O'Neil, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Ridge View has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Haverling, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Ridge View will host Wellsville at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Haverling, they will face off against Rocky River at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
