Softball Recap: Lee Williams Takes a Loss

Lee Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-1 to the River Valley Dust Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dust Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-1 defeat on Friday.

Lee Williams saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Willis-Bertram, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lee Williams' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Lee Williams will host Dysart at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Lee Williams is facing Dysart at the right time seeing as Dysart is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for River Valley, they will take on Kingman Academy in a tournament on Saturday. Kingman Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.
