Basketball Recap: University Prep Charter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bishop Kearney back in February, University Prep Charter came back down to earth. The University Prep Charter Gator fell to the McQuaid Jesuit Knights 62-58. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Gator came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Knights are ranked 276th).

University Prep Charter's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for McQuaid Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

University Prep Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McQuaid Jesuit, they will venture away from home to face off against Rush-Henrietta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. McQuaid Jesuit knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Rush-Henrietta likes a good challenge.
