Baseball Recap: Bradford Takes a Loss

Bradford lost against Baker County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bradford Tornadoes came up short against the Baker County Wildcats, falling 9-3. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bradford saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryland Rike, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Rike has posted since back in April of 2024.

Rike wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bradford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for Bradford: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.

Bradford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Baker County, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Bradford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-8 loss against Williston on the 13th. As for Baker County, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Ponte Vedra on the 13th.
