Football Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Carver Vo-Tech extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Amir Ellis. The Bears breezed past the Douglass Mighty Ducks to the tune of 40-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Ellis, who picked up 123 receiving yards and two TDs. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 61 yards.

Christian Bryant was another key player, picking up 103 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He is becoming a predictor of Carver Vo-Tech's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

Carver Vo-Tech's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Elijah Jones was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Carver Vo-Tech got some further help from Darnell Burrus: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Carver Vo-Tech's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Douglass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

As of now, neither Carver Vo-Tech nor the Mighty Ducks have any future games scheduled.
