Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Skates Past Eastbrook with Ease

Heritage Christian won the last time they faced Eastbrook and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles really took it to the Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up an 84-20 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 51-point advantage.

Heritage Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elyse Snively led the charge by shooting 75% from the field on her way to 21 points along with four steals and four blocks. Riley Johnson was another key player, going 9-for-19 en route to 21 points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Heritage Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastbrook only posted two.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Nacke, who posted six points.

Heritage Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-50 loss against Pendleton Heights on the 15th. As for Eastbrook, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-29 defeat against Southern Wells on the 15th.
