Preview: Leadership vs. KIPP King Lions
Leadership is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while KIPP King is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Leadership will take on the KIPP King Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The matchup between Leadership and Madison Park Academy on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went Leadership's way against Madison Park Academy as Leadership made off with a 71-50 win. The win was just what Leadership needed coming off of a 60-34 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, KIPP King scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Oakland Unity 93-49 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory KIPP King has posted since November 20, 2023.
It was another big night for David Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jacob Ledezma was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
Leadership has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for KIPP King, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
