Marin Rasgorshek leads Crete to victory over Aurora

Recap: Crete Cardinals vs. Aurora Huskies

After losing to the Aurora Huskies the last time they met, the Crete Cardinals decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Crete took down Aurora 51-33 on Tuesday.

It was another big night for Marin Rasgorshek, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anna Hohlen, who scored ten points along with three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Aurora lost, one person who can't be blamed is Denae Nachtigal. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 54.5% of Aurora's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Merrihew, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Crete's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Crete will face off against Adams Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aurora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
