Basketball Recap: Capital Gets the Win

Capital hadn't done well against Meridian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Capital Golden Eagles came out on top against the Meridian Warriors by a score of 64-54. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Capital and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Meridian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-7.

Capital didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-63 win against Centennial on the 18th. Meridian has also already played their next matchup, a 63-60 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 18th.
