Basketball Recap: Eustace Takes a Loss

Eustace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the West Rusk Raiders 61-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 66-56 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2016.

Eustace's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Patek, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Lezon, who put up six points and three steals.

Eustace's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for West Rusk, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Eustace will be taking part in a tournament against Miller Grove at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Rusk, they will take on Hemphill in a tournament on Thursday.
