Baseball Recap: White Cloud's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

White Cloud was forced to take a big defeat against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Kent City Eagles as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Ayden Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He is becoming a predictor of White Cloud's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 5-2 (and 1-12 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Brady Strait was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

White Cloud's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Kent City, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

White Cloud will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
