The team relied heavily on Banks Addison, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, while Covington put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Millington Central. The Chargers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 13-0 victory. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Covington, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-10.
Evangelical Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Covington when the teams last played back in March, winning 13-8. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
