Recap: Faith Christian Patriots vs. Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans
The Faith Christian Patriots posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Kerr-Vance Academy 69-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-13.
Michael Grant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Johnson, who scored ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Kerr-Vance Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rakia Terry. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Terry hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
The victory makes it two in a row for Faith Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will take on Harrells Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Harrells Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lee Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Lee Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
