A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats takes on the Spring Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dekaney is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

Dekaney is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Eisenhower 56-28 at home. With the Wildcats ahead 49-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for David Edmondson, who threw for 208 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 67 yards on only six carries. Tanook Hines was in the mix too, providing Dekaney with two touchdowns.

Dekaney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cordey Sherman, Brent O?Neil, and Calvin Carter picked up one apiece. O?Neil is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Spring blew past MacArthur, posting a 61-13 victory on the road. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Emanuel Bowen went supernova for Spring, rushing for 156 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Bowen's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Spring was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 461 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Spring wouldn't let MacArthur keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Merrico Phillips was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. Another thorn in MacArthur's side was Floyd Guidry, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Dekaney's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Spring, their record now sits at 2-5.

Friday's match might be decided in the on the ground. Dekaney has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 166.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Spring struggles in that department as they've been averaging 197.6. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
