Soccer Game Preview: ALA - Ironwood vs. Apache Junction

The ALA - Ironwood Warriors will face off against the Apache Junction Prospectors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

ALA - Ironwood's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Benjamin Franklin by a goal, winning 1-0. The Warriors' winning goal came courtesy of Omner Chacon.

ALA - Ironwood used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Benjamin Franklin. Anthony Aguilar played for 80 minutes having averaged 44.6 this season and Adrian Aguilar got 80 vs. an average of 42.5. Anthony made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Apache Junction, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Globe 4-0 last Tuesday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for the Prospectors this season.

ALA - Ironwood has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six matches. As for Apache Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
