Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Bearcats vs. Marysville Getchell

Monroe is on a 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Marysville Getchell is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Monroe Bearcats will welcome Marysville Getchell at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Monroe challenged Snohomish on Tuesday. Monroe came out on top against Snohomish by a score of 66-59. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Panthers are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Marysville Getchell's way against Everett on Tuesday as Marysville Getchell made off with a 63-40 win.

Monroe has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Marysville Getchell, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
