Basketball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Liberty Patriots + How To Watch

The Foothill Falcons are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Liberty Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothill has given up an average of 61.2 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Foothill will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 29 points on Saturday, then bounced right back against Las Vegas on Monday. The Falcons secured a 64-60 W over the Wildcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 77-31 victory over Silverado. With the Patriots ahead 46-18 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Liberty's win came from a few key players Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daaron Thompkins, who shot 63% from the field en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tayshawn Caesar, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 20 points and four steals.

Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Foothill's record is now 2-3. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 4-1.

Foothill lost to Liberty on the road by a decisive 73-58 margin when the teams last played back in February. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
