Morton entered their tilt with Metamora on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Redbirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Morton easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Metamora, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morton is set to take on their familiar foe Pekin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Metamora will square off against rival Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
