Volleyball Recap: Manzanola Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Manzanola came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes, falling 3-0. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Buffaloes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Noli Gallegos paced Manzanola's offense, picking up seven kills. Gallegos were helped by Kaetlin Smith and JuJu Gallegos, who contributed two assists each.

Leading Miami-Yoder to victory were Keila Godinez and Mindy Quintana. Godinez had four aces and two assists, while Quintana had 17 digs, seven kills, and five aces. That's the most kills Quintana has posted since September 2nd.

Manzanola's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Miami-Yoder, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Manzanola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Springfield on the 27th. As for Miami-Yoder, they will face off against Evangel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
