Volleyball Recap: Peekskill Comes Up Short

If Peekskill was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Spring Valley on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils came up short against the Greeley Quakers on Friday, falling 3-0. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Quakers from their previous meeting back in October of 2015.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-3, 25-9.

Gianna Carchipulla paced Peekskill's offense, picking up two kills. Carchipulla got some help from Audrina Mendez and her four assists.

Peekskill dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Greeley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Peekskill has already played their next match (against Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greeley will be paying especially close attention to the Red Devils' contest: after the Red Devils face off against Carmel, they'll take on Greeley again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
