Bunn and Nash Central are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will host the Bulldogs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bunn will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Bunn will bounce into Wednesday's   contest after  beating Roanoke Rapids, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Yellowjackets  4-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Wildcats have posted  since March 8, 2024.
 Emily Baez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on eight hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Madeline Bryson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Harrah, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs  on Monday. Nash Central fell just short of Princeton by a score of  7-6. Nash Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 GRACYN KING put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. KING was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  RYLEE BREWER was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  HALEY FRAZIER, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Bunn's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-3. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Nash Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Wednesday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bunn has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .489. However, it's not like Nash Central struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Bunn's way against Nash Central when the teams last played  back in March, as Bunn made off with  a  17-2 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
