Cheney Tech is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-58 heartbreaker at the hands of East Hartford.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kanye Pitts, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and eight boards. Mohamed Camara was another key player, going 8 for 13 en route to 18 points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Cheney Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vinal RVT). They put the hurt on Wilcox RVT with a sharp 80-57 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Vinal RVT has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Cheney Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Everything came up roses for Cheney Tech against Vinal RVT in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-39 win. Will Cheney Tech repeat their success, or does Vinal RVT have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
