Softball Game Preview: Eastern Tech Mavericks vs. Dundalk Owls

The Eastern Tech Mavericks will head out on the road to square off against the Dundalk Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern Tech is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Perry Hall hit Eastern Tech with a five-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mavericks fell just short of the Gators by a score of 10-9.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Dundalk was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Sparrows Point, falling 13-1.

Dundalk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Woods, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Eastern Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Dundalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Eastern Tech skirted past Dundalk 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
