After a string of five wins, Mississinawa Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Botkins Trojans.

Ella Godfrey was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
