Volleyball Recap: Ferguson Takes a Loss

Ferguson lost against Coral Reef back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Barracudas. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Falcons haven't been shut out since back in August.

Elynn Guzman paced Ferguson's offense, picking up six kills. Guzman got some help from Samantha Olivia and her seven assists.

Coral Reef can attribute much of their success to Amanda Augsten, who had three digs and two aces. Augsten has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last six times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Ferguson and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Coral Reef, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Coincidentally, Ferguson and Coral Reef will both be playing Immaculata-La Salle the next time they take the court. The Barracudas will head out to face the Royal Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 8:15 p.m.
