Football Recap: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Vista Murrieta Broncos

Temecula Valley lost against Vista Murrieta back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Temecula Valley Golden Bears had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of the Vista Murrieta Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Broncos are ranked 52nd).

Although Temecula Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Jake Cella and Crew Allen.

Even if they lost, Temecula Valley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Vista Murrieta's QB won't forget Brady Adams anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

A big part of Vista Murrieta's victory came down to the chemistry between Bryson Beaver and his top target Sean Mccullough. Beaver threw for 293 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes while Mccullough picked up 195 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Mccullough is now averaging an impressive 108.8 receiving yards per game.

Temecula Valley now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Vista Murrieta, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temecula Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Murrieta Mesa at 7:30 p.m. on October 3rd.
