Baseball Game Preview: Greenwood Bulldogs vs. Fayetteville Bulldogs

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Greenwood 3.2, Fayetteville 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Fayetteville will be up against a hot Greenwood squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Greenwood came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Alma. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Fayetteville faced Rogers in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Fayetteville never let Rogers get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Fayetteville's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
