Basketball Recap: Renville County West Takes a Loss

Renville County West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs on the road by a 61-45 margin. The Jaguars lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 100-54 score last time.

Renville County West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Renville County West won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Yellow Medicine East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Mayer Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 195 points over their last three games.
