Basketball Recap: Barnesville Comes Up Short

Barnesville played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 52-27 to the Shenandoah Zeps. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Zeps apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Shenandoah was led to victory by Brenna Leach and Emily Moore. Leach shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points and six boards, while Moore posted 12 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Moore is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kendal Snyder, who earned eight points.

Barnesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Barnesville and Shenandoah will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Shamrocks will challenge rival Union Local at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Shenandoah is set to square off against their familiar foe Shadyside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
