Basketball Recap: Bensalem Comes Up Short

Bensalem was the 64-49 winner over Council Rock South when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bensalem Fighting Owls took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Council Rock South Golden Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Fighting Owls have lost by exactly four points.

Despite the loss, Bensalem still got an impressive performance from Amir Drummond, who posted 17 points along with five assists and five boards. The game was Drummond's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Mayfield, who had 12 points.

Bensalem has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Council Rock South, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Bensalem will square off against Neshaminy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bensalem is facing Neshaminy at the right time seeing as Neshaminy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Council Rock South, they will face off against Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
