Basketball Game Preview: Kellam Knights vs. Hickory Hawks

Having just played yesterday, the Kellam Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Hickory Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Kellam's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Kellam was fully in charge, breezing past Cox 67-26. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Falcons are ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hickory hadn't done well against Oscar Smith recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hickory walked away with a 47-34 win over Oscar Smith.

Kellam's record now sits at 6-0. As for Hickory, their record now sits at 2-4.

Kellam didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hickory when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kellam since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
