Softball Recap: McCurdy Takes a Loss

McCurdy lost against Mora on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Rangers/Rangerettes by a score of 13-11. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cassandra Martinez and Karina Archuleta stepped up to the plate in a big way. Martinez scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Archuleta scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Archuleta is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mariana Arambula was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

McCurdy's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mora, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCurdy will challenge Santa Rosa at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mora, they will host Pecos at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
