Volleyball Game Preview: Mayfield Panthers vs. Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Mayfield Panthers will square off against the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Mayfield came up short against Galway on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Mayfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cobleskill-Richmondville didn't have quite enough to beat Mekeel Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Cobleskill-Richmondville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Mayfield dropped their record down to 4-9-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Mayfield was able to grind out a solid win over Cobleskill-Richmondville in their previous meeting back in October of 2015, winning 2-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
