Volleyball Recap: Alleluia Community Comes Up Short

After flying high against Augusta Prep on Monday, Alleluia Community came back down to earth. The Angels lost 3-0 to the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Angels in their meetings with the Musketeers: they've now lost six in a row.

While Alleluia Community was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Academy of Richmond County's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-20.

Reese Janik paced Alleluia Community's offense, picking up ten kills. Janik got some help from Madie French and her ten assists.

Alleluia Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Alleluia Community will head out on the road to challenge Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will take on Grovetown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
