Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Hillcrest extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 25-6. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Shelley Russets. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ali Maddux was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 25 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Hillcrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matches.

As for Shelley, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. Surprisingly, this marked their third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

When it comes to explaining why Shelley lost, don't look at Ashtyn Davis. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor the Russets have any future games scheduled.
