Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves, falling 81-15. The Lions lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 73-40 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Sierra Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Vovc, who posted 19 points. John Harb was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Faith Christian will square off against Sacramento Adventist at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they and Cristo Rey will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
