Volleyball Recap: Proviso East Victorious

The Proviso East Pirates earned a 2-0 win over the ACERO Garcia Patriots on Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Proviso East took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-8.

Proviso East's victory bumped their record up to 7-22. As for ACERO Garcia, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Proviso East will head out to face off against Willowbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ACERO Garcia, they will venture away from home to challenge Victoria Soto at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
